Acer pseudoplatanus (Sycamore)

Known for its impressive size and broad canopy, the sycamore is a popular choice for parks and larger gardens. Its distinctive leaves are palmate, with five lobes, and turn a beautiful golden-yellow in autumn. In spring, the tree produces small, yellow-green flowers that form in clusters, followed by distinctive winged seeds (the iconic helicopters).
