Juglans (Walnut)

Walnut is well-known for distinctive large pinnate leaves and healthy edible nuts. These leaves create a dense canopy of rich green foliage in the summer, which turns golden yellow in autumn. The roots of walnut trees release a natural chemical called juglone, which can inhibit the growth of weeds and other vegetation in their immediate vicinity.
