Cistus x pulverulentus (Rock Rose) 'Sunset'
This compact evergreen shrub dazzles with vibrant magenta pink flowers featuring crinkled petals and golden yellow centres that bloom profusely from late spring through summer. The woolly grey green leaves form an attractive mound that contrasts beautifully with the bright blooms. Exceptionally drought tolerant, it thrives in full sun and poor, well drained soils, making it perfect for gravel gardens, coastal plantings, or hot, dry borders. The flowers attract pollinators while the plant remains resistant to deer and rabbits. A superb low maintenance choice for adding long lasting colour to Mediterranean style gardens or any landscape where water conservation is important, requiring minimal care once established.
