Pittosporum tenuifolium (Kohuhu) 'Golden King'
With striking golden green foliage edged in creamy white, this elegant evergreen adds year round colour and structure to gardens. Its compact, bushy growth habit makes it perfect for creating formal hedges or ornamental borders, while the small, glossy leaves provide a refined texture. More vibrant than many other pittosporums, the variegated leaves catch the light beautifully, offering a bright contrast against darker greenery. Thriving in well drained soil and tolerating coastal conditions, it is a resilient choice for sheltered spots, reaching a manageable height of around 2 to 3 metres if left untrimmed. The subtle honey scented flowers in late spring are a bonus for pollinators, adding seasonal interest.
