X Cupressocyparis leylandii (Leyland Cypress) 'Excalibur Gold'
A vibrant evergreen conifer with a naturally dense, columnar habit, featuring striking golden yellow foliage that maintains its bright colour throughout the year without bronzing in winter. The soft, feathery leaves create a luminous effect in the landscape, offering a brilliant contrast to darker green hedges or trees. Growing more slowly than many similar conifers, it forms a neat, manageable screen or specimen plant without requiring frequent pruning. Particularly valued for its resistance to salt spray and tolerance of coastal conditions, this robust yet colourful evergreen thrives in full sun and adapts well to various soil types. Its year round golden hue and architectural form make it an excellent choice for adding structure and visual interest to borders, windbreaks or formal hedging schemes.
