This vigourous deciduous shrub offers multi season interest with clusters of white spring flowers followed by white berries, vibrant red autumn foliage, and striking red winter stems that brighten the dormant garden. The spreading habit makes it excellent for mass plantings, erosion control on banks, or informal hedges where its colourful stems can be appreciated. Thriving in wet soils, it's ideal for rain gardens, waterside plantings, or areas with poor drainage, while also tolerating drier conditions once established. A robust choice for wildlife gardens, as the berries feed birds and the flowers attract pollinators. Particularly effective when planted in groups to create swaths of winter colour.
