Mahonia eurybracteata ganpinensis (Mahonia) 'Soft Caress'
A revolutionary mahonia prized for its elegant, fine textured foliage composed of long, narrow, spineless leaves that are soft to the touch, unlike the sharp, holly like leaves of many other varieties. Its architectural, bamboo like fronds create a graceful, layered effect that brings a contemporary feel to shady gardens. In autumn, it produces fragrant, lemon yellow flower spikes that rise above the foliage, followed by attractive blue black berries. This compact, evergreen shrub is perfect for planting in containers or at the front of a border, where its unique texture can be fully appreciated.
