With an exceptionally upright and columnar growth habit, this distinctive rosemary forms tall, narrow spires of aromatic dark green foliage that add vertical interest to herb gardens and borders. The sharply pointed leaves carry the classic pine like fragrance, while pale blue flowers appear along the stems in spring, attracting early pollinators. Unlike the spreading forms, its rigid, fastigiate shape makes it particularly valuable for formal hedging or tight spaces where a more architectural form is desired. Reaching up to 2 metres tall yet only 60cm wide, it thrives in full sun and well drained soils, maintaining its neat silhouette with minimal pruning.
