Variant

A captivating perennial that brings soft pink elegance to summer borders, producing abundant spikes of warm rose pink flowers that bloom continuously from early summer through autumn. The delicate blossoms appear in generous clusters above compact mounds of aromatic, grey green foliage, offering a more romantic and prolonged floral display than many traditional purple flowered sages. Reaching about 45cm tall with a neat, bushy habit, it creates lovely drifts of colour in cottage gardens, borders and wildlife friendly plantings. Butterflies and bees find the nectar rich blooms irresistible, while its excellent drought tolerance and disease resistance make it wonderfully undemanding. A light trim after the first flush encourages repeat flowering, ensuring months of charming colour in sunny, well drained spots.
