Santolina chamaecyparissus (Cotton lavender)
A striking evergreen shrub with finely textured silver grey foliage that adds year round colour and contrast to garden borders. In summer, it produces cheerful yellow button flowers that attract pollinators and complement its aromatic leaves. Highly drought tolerant once established, it thrives in full sun and well drained soils, making it perfect for Mediterranean style gardens, rockeries or low hedging. The compact, mound forming habit requires minimal pruning to maintain its neat shape. A versatile plant that offers both visual appeal and practical benefits, including pest repelling properties and excellent performance in coastal or dry conditions.
